ISAS was established in July 2004 as an autonomous research institute at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The establishment of ISAS reflects the increasing economic and political importance of South Asia, and the strong historical links between South Asia and Southeast Asia.
ISAS is dedicated to research on contemporary South Asia. The Institute seeks to promote understanding of this vital region of the world, and to communicate knowledge and insights about it to policy makers, the business community, academia and civil society, in Singapore and beyond.
South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC) 2016 will bring together 1000 distinguished guests and more than 50 of the region’s leading policymakers and business leaders, academics and civil society leaders.
Online Registration is now closed. Please proceed to Raffles City Convention Centre, Level 4 Convention Foyer for onsite registration.
The two day programme consists of plenaries, gala dinner including dialogue with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Chief Ministers’ dialogues and interactive networking sessions.
The convention will see a lively dialogue by eminent speakers, moderators and special guests.
