    Claudia Chia

    Introduction

    Claudia Chia graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in South Asian Studies and a Minor in Technopreneurship from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She was awarded the Rajabali Jumabhoy Foundation Prize for the best Honours graduate in South Asian Studies. After a year of working in project management, she continued her pursuit in South Asian Studies and earned a Master by Research from NUS. Her undergraduate and graduate dissertations were focused on the topics of border management, politics, and international mediation in South Asia.

    Prior to joining ISAS, Claudia worked as a graduate teaching assistant under the Graduate Teaching Fellowship at NUS. During her two years of teaching, she was a two-time recipient of the Graduate Students’ Teaching Award, in recognition of teaching excellence. She has also worked as a research assistant and provided research support and analysis on India-ASEAN relations, India-Singapore bilateral relations, diplomatic history in South Asia, and entrepreneurship education in India.
