    The order by India’s Supreme Court , on 17 October 2014, suspending the sentence and granting bail to Ms J Jayalalitha a , former Chief Minister of the state of Tamil Nadu – in a disproportionate - assets case under the Prevention of Corruption Act – has been greeted with great jubilation all over Tamil Nadu.
