KAS-ICS-ISAS NUS Joint Symposium – China’s Digital Silk Road: Implications for India

About the Joint Symposium: While China openly pursues the goal to extend its economic and political influence from East Asia towards South- East Asia, South Asia, East Africa and Europe, its increasing control in the digital realm in line with the Belt-and- Road-Initiative is less evident. Therefore, the Institute of China Studies in collaboration with the National University of Singapore, India International Centre and the India office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung held a symposium to assess the emergence of China as a digital power house, its growing global impact and the policy implications for India.
