Nitin Pai

Introduction

Mr Nitin Pai is co-founder and director of the Takshashila Institution, an independent centre for research and education in public policy based in Bangalore. His current research includes cyber and space power; geopolitics of the Indo-Pacific; and defence economics. He teaches international relations and public policy at Takshashila’s graduate programmes.

Mr Pai’s current columns appear in Mint and ThePrint. He has lectured at India’s College of Defence Management, Army War College, Indian Naval Academy and Brunei’s Institute of Strategic Studies. He is presently a member of the Karnataka state government’s Vision Group on Higher Education and Research.

Mr Pai was a gold medallist and graduate of the Singapore’s Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, an undergraduate scholar at Nanyang Technological University, and an alumnus of National College, Bangalore. He spent more than a decade in the Singapore government as a policymaker in the technology sector.
